SHORT STORY

This story dates back somewhere closer, when the epic Ramayana took place.

King Sagara was the emperor of the surya dynasty. The people of his kingdom were all happy except for the king. The kings heart was plunged into darkness as he could not bring liberation to his ancestors. Soon the king become ill . Both his queen and the kingdom was worried. The death of king sagara happened soon and there was no descent to the throne. Both the queens prayed towards lord Shiva to get a solution for this problem. Soon Lord Shiva appeared before them and asked the two queen to make love with each other and one of the queen will give birth to a child. As instructed by the Lord the both the queen had sex with each other and as expected on of the queen gave birth to a  baby boy. The baby was named as Bagirathan who later became the ruler of Kosal kingdom of Surya dynasty. The king in order to fulfill his fathers dream set on mission to bring the holy river Ganga down to earth. For several years he was involved in Tapasya and prayers. At last Lord Shiva was pleased by the kings effort and set the holy river free to follow the path of Bagiratha. Thus the holy river was bought  to the earth and king Bagiratha was able to give liberation to his ancestors.

1. People who are against LGBT goes to the Ganges to wash away their sins. As we know the river was boughr by a man who was born to a lesbian how can the sins be washed ?

2. Can people question the purity of Ganga just because it was bought by someone who was born to a female couple?

3. If ancient India had given the freedom for same sex marriage and single parenting why modern India is not supporting the same?
